Finding peace & purpose on the trail: hiking near me at Pumphouse & hemlock trail in laurel hill
We hiked the rocky Pump House Trail at Laurel Hill, detoured to the crystal-clear Hines Mill Run Dam, and ended the day at Hemlock Trail — a peaceful loop beside one of the last living hemlock forests. A beautiful reminder that time in nature refreshes the body and soul. 🌿

bear run nature reserve (orange trail)
I have a list of 60 local trails I’d like to hike this year. I gave my husband my list and let him chose our path. On this 90-degree day, he chose what he thought would be a somewhat easy 4.1-mile hike which rounded to be 6 miles via Alltrails. I have driven past the Bear Run Nature Reserve numerous times. mccune trail in ohiopyle
Disclaimer: You’ll want to read this in it’s entirety if you are reading because you have never completed McCune Trail. There is important information at the end that could save you 1 hour in lost shenanigans. McCune is one of my most favorite trails to hike in Ohiopyle.
