Honoring the Hands That Faithfully Serve
"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord." — Colossians 3:23

There is something beautiful about a pair of well-worn hands. They tell stories.
Stories of gardens planted in the spring and vegetables harvested in the fall. Stories of bread baked for loved ones, children held through difficult days, fences repaired, flowers arranged, meals prepared, and prayers folded between weathered fingers. Our hands often reveal a life of faithful service long before we ever say a word. At Ezekiel's Garden, we believe those hands deserve care. That's the heart behind Harvest Hands.
Created for the Hands That Build, Grow, and Give
Harvest Hands was inspired by the people who quietly serve every day. The gardener who faithfully tends each row. The grandmother whose hands have comforted generations. The mother who rarely sits down. The craftsman who creates with purpose. The volunteer who is always willing to help. The hands may look different, but the heart behind them is the same. They reflect lives spent loving others. We created Harvest Hands as a handcrafted botanical salve to become part of those everyday moments of care—a simple reminder to slow down, thank God for His provision, and appreciate the body He has entrusted to us.
The Beauty of God's Garden
One of the reasons we love herbalism is because it continually points us back to the Creator.
Many of the plants we treasure today have been appreciated for centuries. Long before laboratories and modern skincare, people carefully observed God's creation and learned to value the remarkable qualities found within the plants growing around them. Harvest Hands brings together several of those time-honored botanicals into one thoughtfully crafted salve.
Why We Chose These ingredients
Comfrey
Comfrey (Symphytum officinale) has been one of the best-known herbs in traditional European herbalism for centuries. Historical herbal texts describe its use in a variety of botanical preparations, particularly infused oils and salves. Modern researchers continue to study the naturally occurring compounds found in comfrey, including allantoin and rosmarinic acid, to better understand this remarkable plant.
Yarrow
Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) has been treasured across cultures for generations. Herbalists have traditionally prepared it in teas, infused oils, and botanical preparations because of its long history in herbal traditions. Researchers continue exploring yarrow's naturally occurring flavonoids, sesquiterpene lactones, and antioxidant compounds, adding to the growing appreciation for this extraordinary herb.
Calendula
Bright, cheerful calendula flowers have become one of the most beloved botanicals in herbal skincare. Rich in naturally occurring carotenoids and flavonoids, calendula has been appreciated for generations and remains a favorite ingredient in handcrafted botanical preparations because of its gentle nature and beautiful golden blooms.
Plantain
Plantain (Plantago major and Plantago lanceolata) is often overlooked as a common backyard plant, yet it has earned deep respect among generations of herbalists. Researchers continue investigating its naturally occurring compounds, including allantoin, aucubin, and beneficial polyphenols, while gardeners continue to marvel at how often this humble plant appears exactly where it's needed.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender has long been admired for its calming aroma and timeless appeal. Modern research has explored lavender in aromatherapy and wellness settings, where its pleasant scent has been associated with relaxation and a sense of calm. It brings a peaceful aromatic experience to Harvest Hands.
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense has been treasured since biblical times and remains one of the world's most recognizable botanical oils. Frequently included in premium skincare formulations, its rich, grounding aroma reminds us of one of the precious gifts presented to Jesus and points us toward worship, gratitude, and reverence.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E is a naturally occurring antioxidant commonly used in botanical skincare. It helps protect the quality of plant oils while contributing to healthy-looking, conditioned skin and extending the freshness of handcrafted salves.
More Than a Product
Harvest Hands isn't just about the herbs inside the jar.
It's about remembering the story your hands tell.
Hands that have planted seeds. Prepared meals. Held babies. Comforted friends. Served neighbors. Opened Bibles. Folded in prayer. God sees every act of faithful service, even the ones no one else notices.
A Harvest Worth Celebrating
Scripture often uses the image of a harvest to remind us that faithful work matters.
"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." — Galatians 6:9
Sometimes that harvest looks like vegetables growing in a garden. Sometimes it looks like children raised in faith. Sometimes it's a kind word offered at just the right moment. Whatever your harvest may be, your hands have been part of God's work. Take a moment to thank Him for them.
A Harvest Hands Prayer
Father,
Thank You for these hands You've given me to serve, create, encourage, and love. May everything they do bring honor to You. Teach me to care for the body You've entrusted to me with the same faithfulness that I care for others. As I pause today, remind me that every small act of service can become part of the harvest You are growing.
Amen.
