As Christians, we need fed differently through out our walk with God. As newly saved Christians, we need a Pastor to feed us the milk of the Bible, 1 Corinthians 3:1-2, "Brothers and sisters, I could not address you as people who live by the Spirit but as people who are still worldly—mere infants in Christ. I gave you milk, not solid food, for you were not yet ready for it." That is the foundation upon which Christianity is based. We typically start with the book of John as the groundwork of understanding Jesus. As we grow in the knowledge of Him we are able to eat more solid foods that not only build our understanding of Christ but awaken our spirit to discern the opinions of the world vs. the realities of the Spirit, 1 Corinthians 2:10-15, "these are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us. This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.
Before Covid-19, I was set on attending a local church that relied on 1 Pastor to fill the needs of a multigenerational congregation. He had the responsibility of feeding new & seasoned Christians with one message. I never questioned my growth because I always left church more enlightened than when I came. During Covid-19 though, I grew spiritually more than I ever have because the absence of physical church lead me to explore other Pastors on-line who fed me differently. I learned that I need different foods to satisfy my different needs, Hebrews 5:14, "But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil." I am including my top favorites & why below in no particular order as a guide to help others in their different seasons.
1. Pastor Dan Kaser @https://lifechurchpa.com/ is the best at laying a solid foundation with a clear understanding of Christianity & how the Bible directs us to live today.
2. Pastor Sarah Jakes Roberts @https://www.thepottershouse.org/explore/campuses4/ is your best enthusiastic girlfriend that pumps you up with energy & confidence in the knowledge of Christ. She is an easy listen in the car & shopping.
3. Pastor Steven Furtick @https://elevationchurch.org/ takes you on an easy transition of worldly knowledge to spiritual realities. He introduces spiritual gifts without condemnation.
4. Pastor Chris Blackeby @http://asheisministries.org/media gives in depth studies on the spirit world & to start living in your spirit with solid Bible based teachings. I listen to him with pen & paper in hand & end up with pages of notes.
5. Pastor Kirby de Lanerolle @http://www.wowlife.in/kirby-de-lanerolle/ blesses you with in-depth deep understanding in to the spiritual realm. He guides you to connect with your Spirit over your worldly self. I recommend Kirby for the mature Christian open to receive the Spirit because it is unlike anything the world has taught.
6. Pastor David Diga Hernandez @https://www.davidhernandezministries.com/ is my newest find. His teachings are practical & spirit-filled with a no-nonsense approach.
I pray this list encourages you to not leave a church community that you are currently attending but adds to that. These Pastors were a gift to me through the worst time of my life. I listened to them so often that I think of them as friends, even though only 1 knows me personally. I pray they will do the same for you.
